Since 2008, Right Angle has been engaged to manage the operations of the Moomba Parade event on behalf of the City of Melbourne.
The 2007 Moomba festival was hailed as a true ‘comeback' for the Moomba Event, after a year off in 2006 for the Commonwealth Games. The event delivered a surplus from its $2.4million budget, and attracted more than 1 million visitors over three days
Right Angle is also currently engaged to manage the operations and logistics for Melbourne's New Year's Eve Celebration through until 2013 – an event which sees more than 500,000 people descend on the streets of the Melbourne CBD. Right Angle Staff deliver all aspects of the operations of this major event, including site and venue planning, event programming, crowd, transport and traffic management and liaison with all emergency management authorities.
The city's New Years Eve event underwent a significant structural and operational review for the 2009 event, with Right Angle providing consultancy and advisory services in addition to managing all operational delivery requirements. Right Angle is working with the City of Melbourne to consolidate the success of the new event format, and ensure that the City delivers a continually improving New Year’s Eve celebration to the public each year.
